  • The East Sea Real-time Ocean Buoy (ESROB) is a surface mooring that has been in operation off the mid-east coast of Korea since 1999. The ESROB is 9 km off the coast (37° 32.24’N; 129° 12.92’E) in a water depth of 130 m, and provides meteorological and oceanographic (physical and biogeochemical) data every 10 min from Conductivity-Temperature-Depth (CTD) and acoustic Doppler current profiler (ADCP) instruments. The data provided here were collected between 2016 and 2020 and follow the data collected by previous publications. The data were quality controlled and assured using typical data processing methods, and have been used to address temporal variations in currents and water properties, as well as wind-and tide-induced internal waves. The uploaded data files contain variables in a NetCDF format that were obtained during each deployment. Important Note: This submission has been initially submitted to SEA scieNtific Open data Edition (SEANOE) publication service and received the recorded DOI. The metadata elements have been further processed (refined) in EMODnet Ingestion Service in order to conform with the Data Submission Service specifications.

  • Apataki Atoll has been instrumented over a period of 3 months (from April 2022 to late July 2022) separated into 2 Legs. Physical process such as water level, currents ciruclation, water exchanges into passes and "hoa" and water column stratification have been measured to characterized the hydrodynamic functioning of this semi-opened pearl farming atoll. Numerous moorings have been deployed into lagoon, passes, hoa and external reef slope stations with common autonomous oceanographic instruments measuring at high sampling frequency. During the sampling period, one major meteorological event occurred, a distant mega swell hit the South-West Islands of French Polynesia including Apataki on 14th July and has significantly impacted its hydrodynamic. • Raroia Atoll has been instrumented over a period of 10 months (from May 2018 to late March 2019) separated into 3 Legs and 1 extra leg (namely "shortleg"). Physical process such as water level, wave climate, currents ciruclation, exchanges between ocean and lagoon by passes and "hoa" and water column stratification have been measured to characterized the hydrodynamic functioning of this semi-open pearl farming atoll. Numerous moorings have been deployed into lagoon, hoa, passes and external reef slope stations with common autonomous oceanographic instruments measuring at high sampling frequency.  Sampling strategy available on Sextant - (Marine Geographic Information System.)-[https://sextant.ifremer.fr/Donnees/Catalogue#/metadata/b88e3214-17fe-45d1-9b21-2215564ce092] More informations on (ANR MANA project)-[https://www.coreus.ird.fr/index.php/home-en/home/research/portfolio/ongoing-projects/projet-mana].   Important Note: This submission has been initially submitted to SEA scieNtific Open data Edition (SEANOE) publication service and received the recorded DOI. • Takaroa Atoll has been instrumented for a short period of 3 months (from July 2022 to October 2022) in order to get additionnal data into Takaroa passage (Teauoae Pass). One ADCP has been deployed to measure current direction and speed over the water column to evaluate the water exchanges between the lagoon and the ocean of this semi-open pearl farming atoll. • Conductivity-Temperature-Depth (CTD) data and Lowered-Acoustic-Doppler-Current-Profiler (LADCP) data from the 22 casts of the MomarSat 2022 Cruise. The CTD data from a Seabird SBE 25 were processed with Seasave V 7.26.7.121 software. Note that the conductivity/salinity data were NOT calibrated with bottles. Only basic CTD processing was done. The LADCP horizontal currents were measured with a combination of two 300 kHz RDI ADCPs, one uplooker and one downlooker. LADCP data were processed with the LDEO v. IX.12 software with a 10-m vertical resolution. Important Note: This submission has been initially submitted to SEA scieNtific Open data Edition (SEANOE) publication service and received the recorded DOI. The metadata elements have been further processed (refined) in EMODnet Ingestion Service in order to conform with the Data Submission Service specifications.

  • This data set includes CTD-O2 and LADCP data from the 46 stations occupied in Storfjorden and Storfjordrenna during the STEP cruise in July 2016 onboard R/V l'Atalante. Hydrographic data are provided in the form of Seabird ascii format (cnv), with two files per station (up and down). The data set also includes  underway S-ADCP data provided in netcdf format. Sensor metadata: CTD data were collected with a Seabird SBE 911+ probe. Dissolved oxygen data were collected with a Seabird SBE43 probe attached to the rosette. Additional data include fluorescence (Chelsea Aqua3) and transmission (WET labs C-Star).LADCP data were collected with a pair of  300 kHz Workhorse Sentinel from RD Instruments mounted on the rosette. Shipborne-ADCP data were collected with the  150 kHz Ocean Surveyor (RD Instruments)  mounted on the hull of R/V L'Atalante. Important Note: This submission has been initially submitted to SEA scieNtific Open data Edition (SEANOE) publication service and received the recorded DOI. The metadata elements have been further processed (refined) in EMODnet Ingestion Service in order to conform with the Data Submission Service specifications.

  • Current Meters in the frame of HERMES project

  • This data set includes n.5 files containing observational data of a stand-alone mooring, at about 600 m depth along the Levante Canyon of the Eastern Ligurian Sea (44°05.443’N, 9°29.900’E, western Mediterranean). The time series covers the period from November 2020 to October 2022. The dataset includes measurements conducted with two current meters (ADCP RDI QuarterMaster and Nortek Continental) and three CTD probes (SBE37), and provides information about the hydrodynamics and thermohaline properties across almost the entire water column. The mooring is configured and maintained for continuous long-term monitoring being in a particular deep-sea area (about 600 m water depth), that acts as a hot-spot of biodiversity, hosting valuable and vulnerable ecosystems, such as the deep-living cold-water corals. Data are described in the data paper Ciuffardi et al.: Deep water hydrodynamic observations around a Cold-Water Coral habitat in a submarine canyon in the Eastern Ligurian Sea (Mediterranean Sea), Earth Syst. Sci. Data Discuss. [preprint], https://doi.org/10.5194/essd-2022-466, in review, 2023 Important Note: This submission has been initially submitted to SEA scieNtific Open data Edition (SEANOE) publication service and received the recorded DOI. The metadata elements have been further processed (refined) in EMODnet Ingestion Service in order to conform with the Data Submission Service specifications.

  • Data collected during the BENCHMARK cruise. The cruise was carried out between August 1-10, 2021 on Denmark Strait, in Icelandic and Greenlandic waters. The objectives of the cruise were to characterise the composition and distribution of epibenthic fauna in the Denmark Strait, with a particular focus on taxa considered indicators of Vulnerable Marine Ecosystem, and to survey water mass properties and flow structure in the area.

  • This data set contains station data of top-to-bottom oceanic current measurements performed with Lowered Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (LADCP) during the Med-SHIP cruise TAlPro2022 (Toulone - La Spezia, RV Belgica, 17/05/2022 - 26/05/2016). The LADCP devices in use were a downward and an upward-looking ADCP of type Teledyne RDI Workhorse Monitor 300 kHz. Station data of zonal and meridional oceanic velocities are reported in [cm/s] on a 4 m vertical grid.
